[senco-forum] SENCO teaching duties

as someone new to the post of SENCO can anyone advise

What is STPCD please?

Could we all please expand acronyms so everyone can follow?

STPCD sets a limit on cover of 38 hours per year on _all_
teachers (including SENCos and Heads). The school is also
expected to have in place practices which reduce cover to as
little as possible.

Once you have done 38 hours cover you are 'immune' to cover.
