Article: [senco-forum] Maths - reader for Exam Access Arrangements

I know that the exam boards will give you a quick answer - I always go to
AQA as their staff seem very knowledgeable. Sorry, I don't have the answer,
but I know a man/woman who does.

I'm not at school at the moment - but we have also discussed this and the
LSAs who do it would know, but they're not with me at home!!)

Subject: [senco-forum] Maths - reader for Exam Access Arrangements

Query -

When a pupil has a reader for Maths -

Does the reader:

a.	read both text and numbers/formulas - or
b.	read text only.

The reason is that our Maths dept state that having a maths teacher as a
reader will give an advantage to the pupil and hence is querying who
should be a reader at AS level.

Tks for all assistance.

Stuart
