We are going to pilot it too this year. The access arrangements seem the same as for Maths and Science in that readers are allowed without applying for them, also a person to do the keystrokes if the pupil is unable to. Those with statements are allowed up to 100% extra time. Those not at level 3 are not entered. That's what I have noted so far. Is that any help? Our ICT teachers are concerned that the format the pupils see e mail etc in is not the same as usual as there is a copyright problem; they believe pupils will be quite thrown by the different format. I advised our HOD ICT to put most of the pupils in to show if the tests are too hard/difficult to access as it is a pilot. Does anyone have any experience of the previous pilots in their schools? In particular the challenges presented for SEN students. I've got alsorts of questions going on e.g. are the same assessments required for access arrangements, are there any difficulties with an online test that I might not have thought of? Any feedback would be very gratefully received - we can't be the only ones going through this! Thank you Briony |
