[senco-forum] other teachers reviewing your pupils

Hi Janice, Chris and everyone
  Yep - I've mostly got them all tamed.  It is hard working out a balance between subject teacher, group tutor and me.  I have a 'you must inform me' rule about contacting parents for some pupils (not all with Statements) and I give out 'This is the party line' at parents' evenings.  I also not above looking at everyone's report on the computer and challanging those who have forgotten that of course Fred can't spell / has messy handwriting / finds it difficult to concentrate and it is all on his IEP.
  And I sometimes go as far as to offer to let them have Fred's file and let them do all the paperwork themselves.  That usually cures them.

Do any of you have this problem - it is worse this year I guess because some
of the Year 7 tutors are new to the game.
I keep finding out that they have had parents in of pupils on my support
list and haven't told me or asked me to come along. I review Yr 7s just
around half-term (and they know that if they read my stuff) and invite the
parents in. I'm really mad and have said so - I don't mind people doing my
job but this is becoming very annoying.
Does it happen to anyone else out there ???
