Yeah, I've had the glue ears as well. I love teaching when they've had a good long session with a SaLT .....they know what to do re sounds then it seems to me. I thoroughly approve of the synthetic evangelists on the point of "pure" sounds. I sure hope everybody heads thataway. The Salt taught kiddies do it properly too. I hate, abhore, cannot understand the alphabet arch system of a/ay - buh/b - cuh/c - &etc ..... how to confuse in one easy few seconds' burst of meaninglessness. The double plod carefully said is just more useful...as is touching the letters as you go. ....the old s-t-u-v-w sequence problem still crops up no matter what. & good old Sesame Street still gets a hum along at the beginning of my lessons....though I'm not supposed to hear! <VBG >. I must admit I was very impressed with the RML course I went on... but I'm still going trout fishing on selling lessons methinks....like Champion the Wonderhorse not everyone will ride it as it goes so confusingly fast.
