Alphasmarts are ideal for education, but beware there are three models the  
name alphasmart refers to the company. The models are the 3000 now becoming out 
 of date, the Dana which is basicaly a PDA with a keyboard and the Neo this 
is by  far the best of all the range and more suited for schools and out of 
office use  (I use one when I travel around the UK) if you go to alphasmart.co.uk 
you will  find a list of educational suppliers thoughout the UK basic cost 
arounf £179.  average battery life 700hours.
