Bear in mind that the scores it gives out are not norm referenced but
criterion referenced so you may have difficulty in determining 'true'
progress.  It is motivating but probably only because it is computer
administered and so seen as non judgemental and associated with game
scenarios.  The question you need to answer from the point of view of your
pupils is will the gains transfer to the chalk face?  Most if not all of the
research quoted is from AR itself and little if any  from peer reviewed
journals
