Article: [senco-forum] Deadline for Access Arrangements for November exams - reply from JCQ

I'm panicking too - especially as our exam supervisor phoned the board yesterday and was told the end of October! I just hope the person we have to get in to do our testing can come next week!

Dear Sharon,

Many thanks for your email regarding the above.

Please note that the regulation date is correct as published. This date was
changed specifically for the examinations in November as the awarding bodies
cannot process applications received at the end of October by the start of
November and therefore in time for the November series. You should note that
this date of the 30th September is only for the November examinations.

I hope this clarifies the issue for you but if not please do not hesitate to
contact us again.

Kind Regards

Bimla

Subject: Deadline for Access Arrangements for November exams

Hi,

I noticed that the deadline for "all other arrangements" (i.e. not modified
papers) for November modular exams is set, this year, as 30th September as
opposed to the usual end of October. I rang and spoke to AQA and they
assured me that the deadline is still end of October and NOT as written in
the Regulations and Guidance relating to candidates who are eligible. . . .
. etc. Etc.

Could you please confirm that this is the case and then could you add an
erratum to the website?

Many thanks - look forward to hearing from you.
