[senco-forum] start of term

A teacher of PSHCE came to see me today to give me some important news, that two pupils in her Y7 class named me as the third most important person in school after the Head and the Deputy.  As I'm not on the Senior management team but do visit lots of primaries and make myself high profile at parents' evenings, this is definitely one up for SEN.

  Today was the first day back for pupils and a new Y12 with special needs, with whom I had met parents and written blurb for teachers, came to me as he had lost his classroom and another pupil thought we could help.

  We do have some quirky things in our base too which helps.....the pupils don't know about this one, but strangely one of the cheeping birds which the LSAs persuaded me to buy for them, has been found this term sitting on a nest with eggs!
