Oh the CLAIT exam! [groan] IMHO this is geared mostly towards office based adults who wish to develop their computer based secretarial skills. Furthermore some of the tasks are exceedingly boring. Do check the assessment criteria carefully in advance. These are fine with motivated adults for whom office work is their chosen career. But for students with any form of SpLD these might find these impossible to meet. For example as I recall in the compulsory 'module # one' candidates are only permitted three mistakes when copy-typing a page of 'set text. Problem was my students (I was supporting them as a TA) made on average 20 mistakes each and so they fell flat on their faces at the first hurdle!
