[senco-forum] Audit

Hi Bette

  I'm a SENCO who's been in my post for 18 years so I would ask myslelf these questions:
  Who is asking for the audit?  
  How does the Local Authority organise SEN?  
  Can I get someone from the LA to help me?  Does the LA have SEN advisors or advisory teachers?  Is there a nearby secondary school where the SENCO help me?

  On the subject of GCSE access arrangements.
  Who did the tests last year?  Can they come in again?
  Who filled in the forms last year?

  Feel free to ask again.  In my experience, all LAs organise things differently.

Also with regards to exam access arrangements can anyone give any info on who is allowed to test pupils. i am led to believe that there are strict rules about this. Can any teacher carry out assessments? I have done so in the past but hold no specific qualifications except that of my teaching degree & PGCE.
