Hi I think Dore is costly and I have not seen any positive objective results for it. I use the ideas for supporting pupils with dyspraxia and dyslexia used in the Brain Gym books and Madeline Portwood's books. That and a keen TA mean that I have pupils doing all sorts of physical activities to develop co-ordination and brain power for little cost. You can buy loads of fun equipment but we started with bean bags, a couple of foam balls and loads of imagination! I remember hours spent in the primary playground playing skipping, two ball against the wall, French skipping with elastic, swinging on metal bars above nice hard tarmac and so on. Now we have to teach kids all of that - they call in 'Huff and Puff' down here. He asked me what I thought of the Dore programme www.dore.co.uk and asked me to watch a dvd introduced by Toyah Wilcox. The dvd is persuasive but I have concerns about programmes costing over £2000 and which I haven't heard of previously! Does anyone have any knowledge of the effectiveness of this programme?
