Thanks, David. To add to your list of 'why's which I fully agree with - Why can't I, as SENCO of nearly 20 years experience, who is an AST and has a Masters Degree in SEN Education, do the tests myself instead of having to rely on someone else? Amanda David Wilson <davidritchiewilson at btinternet.com> wrote: >Anyone know what is average words per minute for GCSE exams which students have to be slower than?< My understanding, Amanda, is that it is 15 words per minute. I agree about the tightness of the exam board deadline. And why, oh why, do we have to submit individual forms to each board rather than to the Joint Council on Qualifications acting on behalf of them all? And why do we have to list the subject entries on the access arrangements application form when they may not be up yet on the school's information management system? Why can't the boards just issue a blanket "yea" or "nay" whatever the candidate's subject entry for 2006-2008 - they will end up doing that anyway!
