It's in the new guidelines for this year which came out on line last week I think. This is the section: Chapter 6: Making Applications for Access Arrangements The NAA in collaboration with Awarding Bodies has created a computer system on which Centres should process their requests for those arrangements which are currently permitted within the Centre. It is accessible via each Awarding Body's web site and should be used in preference to submitting a paper form. These online arrangements should be recorded once only for each academic year on the web site. Records can be keyed throughout the year, but should be on the site by 15 May for June examinations, or before the start of any other series for which the candidate has been entered. In the past the board only had to be informed after the examination - for both January and June examinations by 31st July. This is the link to the full booklet. http://www.jcq.org.uk/access_arrangements/ Chris _____ From: Amanda [mailto:amandavh at btinternet.com] Sent: 17 September 2006 17:09 To: chris white; 'senco-forum' Subject: RE: [senco-forum] access arrangements Hi Chris Do you happen to know where this information is written down? As far as I can see, all dates for applications for access arrangements are earlier this year. This can be done on line...a nice man from the Assessment agency came and showed me how on Friday! Chris Up to her eyes in doing assessments...and the Learning Support time table as well!!!!! The DfES collects data on pupils with SEN. Why can't it be used to save us having to apply? Amanda Secondary SENCO Cornwall Who has been filling in forms since 09-30 and it is now 13-48. And we are a small school with 120 in each of years 10 and 11. Amanda Secondary SENCO Cornwall Amanda Secondary SENCO Cornwall |
