[senco-forum] shaky hands

Dear All,
     A friend (also a senco) has asked me to post a query on her behalf.
  She has a new student into the school, boy 13yrs, who holds his pen to write in a very unusual grip. When discussing this, he says he holds his pen that way because his hand shakes so much and that is how he controls it. When gently questioned further about whether it was just his hand it seems he can shake or quiver all over. He did mention when he gets nervous. 
     Anyone come across anything like this before?
  Has anyone any suggestions about how to help stop the shaking etc?
