If I remember correctly ACE stands for Aiming for a College Education

Dear all,
   A colleague is about to 'do' an inspection and the school has linked
its G&T (gifted & talented) pupils with its ACE pupils...
  Can anyone tell me what ACE is - my only reference is for the ACE
dictionary so not very helpful - I'm sure someone out there will know
the answer.
