After my son had his brain surgery he finished up with vision problems including binocular vision. I made him do a lot of cross lateral brain gym exercises - specifically figure of eights with a torch on a wall, single hands and both hands. His eye sugeon at GOSH said he made a startling improvement - but then his problem was a recently acquired injury, your chap sounds more long term but it might be worth a try. He has issues with his binocular vision which are probably the major barrier to his learning at the moment. He was born premature and is very slim. He acts as if the effort of maintaining his posture is quite great, always leaning or slouching. Meanwhile, he says he absolutely can’t stand the feel of paper as fingers brush across it. I was idly colouring a corner of a sheet with a pencil crayon one day and he recoiled from the sound(?) of it. Does anyone have any suggestions please?
