Article: [senco-forum] Ghana link school - shipping goods - not SEN

I don't have your e mail Janice but I forwarded to a Ghanian friend of mine and got this back. Contact her direct if you like. My family sent boxes of books to her family for years.

  Hi,
I wrote an e mail which seems to have disaapeared.
This charity may be worth talking to as they have sent by post for years.

You can also try the Ghana Ambassador's office in the High Commision. Their number I think is on a web site. You can mention my name and find out what they will suggest.
Pls let me know how you get on.
  Attached are the charities details
  Dr Naa Barnor
Public HEalth for free distribution to medical students in Ghana. The books are posted by a charity called Teaching Aids at Low Cost (www.talcuk.org) and the total cost is around £1 per book to pack and post airmail in cartons of 20.

Does anyone have a link with a school in Ghana and know how to ship good to them - we have 7 boxes of books and are thinking of using our Tesco vouchers this year to get them a computer and software. But, the lady in charge of the link thingey doesn't know how to go about shipping the good to Ghana and I thought someone out there might have already done a similar thing
  Thanks
