[senco-forum] ICT/SLD or SpLD

SpLD is Specific Learning difficulty but I prefer & use Specific Learning
Difference as there is no 'difficulty' in learning if the student is taught
in a way that they can learn.

I think SLD is Severe Learning  Disability like Down's Syndrome where the
medical condition often overrides or hampers the ability to learn.

In Hong Kong having recognised Dyslexia they have decided to label it SLD!
You don't even want to know how they label our SLD. They are still moving
from medical to social labelling. Times change fast and no doubt everything
will be re-labelled by the time I send this, if I haven't missed something
already.
