Article: [senco-forum] Software information requested

A useful off topic though... it is not news that too much sound can be
damaging to hearing... If volume is above 90db and prolonged then permanent
and irreversible hearing loss can be caused. I think it is more to do with
the volume that is used and the duration rather than in or out of the ear,
though... just that I have heard both Keith Holland and Alan Heath speak and
neither of them recommend in ear earphones.

Advanced Brain Technologies who developed The Listening Program recommend
the following headphones as they allow music of the highest recordable
quality to be delvered to our ears.:

Sennheiser HD515 and HD555 (these are the ones we bought for school and the
sound is so good...)
Beyer DT 440
Grado SR80 and SR125. Mind you two sound engineers came on our Listening
Program course and they reckon that Grados are not that durable.

The Sony DNE 330 CD Walkman Player apparently has a preset volume such that
it will not play about 90db.

Maybe others on the forum know more? That's my pennyworth.
