That is why I prefer 'Differences' as in Specific Learning Differences. All is says it that my daughter learns or needs to be taught -differently The Specific can then be narrowed down via the brackets - (........) if you want to. My daughter prefers not to talk about her dyslexia, its less hassle; she has friends who are more severe and knows she is different from them so doesn't make a thing of it. Some teachers have worked out that she has dyslexic difficulties and she will tell some of them on a one-to-one basis where she needs more support.
