How many grafemes for 44 fonemes will u teach?

THRASS has 120 grafemes, 60 for 24 consonants, 60 for 20 vowels.
They are only the most common ones.

Estimates vary widely, but Godfrey Dewey
(son of the Melvin Dewey of the Dewey decimal
library catalog system) found
530 spellings of 41 sounds,
that is 12.9 grafemes per foneme.
Some might occur in only one or a few words,
but we still have to read them all.

Hornsby and Hickey teach them all,
but do the synthetic fonic schemes go that far?
