Article: [senco-forum] SEN policy document

Hi Catherine
Welcome to the list. We are usually a very helpful bunch in term time!
I use the SEN policy my LA produced on the grounds that it has been run through their legal department. Our draft is at http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/cypf/index.cfm?articleid=17746 and click on 'model SEN policy for schools'. It's not perfect but I'm not changing mine significantly (eg to reflect the Every Child Matters agenda) until they produce a new model policy. I also run a completely separate 'this is what we DO' file.

Just back from Spain where the temperature in Grenada in the sun on Monday was 43 degrees and in the shade 32 degrees! Lovely!!

Hi. I have just joined the list and would like to know if anyone could kindly help me. I am in the process of writing a SEN policy doc. It is part of an assignment that I have to do, but eventually I hope to use it in my own school which at present has no SEN policy in place. Any guidelines, advice, sample docs would greatly be appreciated.

Many thanks

Catherine
