-->>Purpose

Senco-forum is an UK-based world-wide discussion forum for the special
needs community. This list is for Special Needs Co-ordinators, those in
local authority services and others involved in supporting pupils with
special education needs.

Its' aim is to provide a forum for Special Educational Needs
Co-ordinators (SENCOs) to share ideas and expertise in supporting pupils
with special educational needs and be of use to Institutions of higher
education, LEAs and other agencies providing initial and further
professional development involved in special education. The list was
originally set up in January 1996 and currently boasts around 950 list
members.

-->>Joining the list

to join the list go to:
http://lists.becta.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/senco-forum

and fill out the form in the 'Subscribing to senco-forum' section.

-->>senco-forum mailing list membership configuration

Once you've joined the list you will be sent a welcome email that
contains details of using senco-forum. This includes details of the link
to your subscription configuration page.

>From this subscription configuration page you can chose to:

-unsubscribe : remove yourself from senco-forum
-view your other lists.becta.org.uk subscriptions
-disable/enable Mail delivery : this suspends email from being sent to
your account (rather than having to unsubscribe and resubscribe)
-Set Digest Mode : Messages from senco-forum are usually sent to you one
at a time (as and when individual members post them to the list). You
can chose to receive a digest version of these postings. Receiving a
digest means messages will be sent to you in one large message (at daily
intervals approx) rather than all the individual messages. You may find
digests more convenient and easier to manage.
