Warning! (if you didn't know already).

White boards that don't have any 'frame' will make the table tops filthy if a side that is written on is in direct contact with them.  I'd look for ones that have a raised edge that will keep a side  that is written on clear of any surfaces.

I got mine from Yorkshire Purchasing.  I think that LDA sell them and you may find them in Office Stationary catalogues.

Also Ebay is auctioning  a number of more up-market one-offs -- mainly for home and office use -- and even a couple of vintage slate chalk boards for desk use  -- good for demonstration in a social history section of the school library.
