TES today, page 13, has extracts from a report on part of The Primary Review,
www.primaryreview.org.uk

• Children's cognitive development and learning, by Usha Goswami and Peter Bryant.

 >The researchers stress that the more often children experience something, the
better they learn. Because of this, a multi-sensory approach to education is a
good idea.

But there is no research supporting the idea that teaching children according to
an individual learning style - such as visual, auditory or kinaesthetic items -
has special benefits.<

Surely it is good to present any information in several ways,
and vary, and give a choice of, modes of output,
1. so that there is something to suit all pupils,
2. for re-inforcement,
3. to utilise preferred learning styles and strengthen weaker styles.

Hear it, say it, see it, write it
in words and in all the presentations
and activities that u have said.
