Article: [senco-forum] Regression to the mean and other maths info

A fellow phobic writes....
the answer to our prayers.....

I found a great book....pg 125
words and pictures!
(Yep, a visual learner encodes. < VBG >)

>>>could someone explain<<<
>>> to a "maths phobic" <<<

Dip into the following pages (below) of:
"The Psychological
Assessment of Dyslexia"
Martin Turner;
Whurr;
ISBN 1- 897 635- 53- 2

>>>do not completely<<<
>>> understand the bunching issue. <<<

There's a picture alongside the explanation
on pg125 in my 1997 copy....

...as Bob Dylan so rightly stated all those
years ago..."All will be revealed".
Patterns, patterns...so one can see them.

And a great cheat sheet in one appendix.
pp 330 through 332....
"Table of Normal Distribution Values".

The man is a mathematical saint for those few
helpful pages, believe me.

Though methinks stats is still the creative writing of
the mathematicians' swirling worlds of pattern and
form and function.

John
