[SENco-forum] How to become a SENco

So you wanna be a SENCo?
the previous message is V. good, it should give you an idea of just how much we are valued.
my predecessor in my current job told me once. in an unguarded way, that he had just 'bluffed' his way into special needs...
I got in because I am a grafter(I'm afraid it's the only thing I am reasonably good at). I really wanted to do it, too, because I wanted to make a difference to some children's lives. This is the only place where I will say this, because I know that nobody will laugh at me.
If you really want to do it, it is a good idea to get that qualification -you will probably have to fund yourself.
Just one more thing-having a hide like a rhynoceros is not strictly essential but it helps
