Article: [senco-forum] Adult assessment

Probably a bit late to get replies in time but worth a go!!
I have to do a diagnostic assessment on Sunday for a 23 year old
Adult. He has difficulties with multi syllabic words and middle range
spellings at the level of vowel digraphs.
I will do Naglieri (non verbal) and Macmillan (reading) which both
have a ceiling of 17+ years. WRAT3 for decoding and spelling which
have ceiling of 75 years. Speed of writing Allcock. I will also do
digit span memory test. I will probably do Wordchains for speed of
reading (can't remember ceiling). PhAB for speed of processing is far
too low a ceiling. Might go for an Edinburgh 4 with extra time.

Problem is he's 23 and all my tests are for students much younger.

I can see from the off he has difficulties with vowel digraphs and
multi syllabic words for reading but generally literacy is not too bad
at all; he just needs time to edit what he has written. He is not
illiterate. He is making an application to the police force and the
application is tough for dyslexics. He does not yet, have a
diagnostic assessment and the application has to be in by the 14th. I
at least want to gain him extra time for the next round of assessments
and the concession of using an ACE dictionary.

Any ideas anybody!!?? It is time which is of the essence here.
