Dear Maggie, Have you seen the professional development materials for Dyslexia Friendly Teaching from Peer Gordon Associates? www.peergordonassociates.co.uk These were free when I got them a year or so ago and they may still be so. It may be worth contacting them to ask. Best wishes, Mary -----Original Message----- From: senco-forum-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk [mailto:senco-forum-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk] On Behalf Of Maggiechessher at aol.com Sent: 04 February 2007 09:35 To: barbht at saqnet.co.uk; senco-forum at lists.becta.org.uk Subject: Re: [senco-forum] dyslexia friendly help please! Thankyou for those really helpful points. I did make the point in the R.E. session that I didn't have the subject knowledge etc., but felt I had the 'safety net' of the Advanced skills teacher on that occasion. However I think that the approach you suggest feels do- able! (i.e. less nightmare inducing!!) I really like the idea of getting the pupils to come up with difficulties in different subjects to be tackled. Many thanks, Maggie |
