Article: [senco-forum] re adult assessment- police entry exam arrangements

Dear Lucy

Here is a response I got from Centrex Exams/Assessments who are responsible
for arranging tests for the police.

...... what we require from the professional that is to undertake the
assessments and write the report. You will need to be a qualified
occupational or educational psychologist or qualified to make assessments of
dyslexia. As well as this you must have expertise and experience in an
adult work based field as opposed to educational field...................

The person in charge is Cara Brown, Higher Psychologist, Centrex
Examinations and Assessment

Harrogate , Tel: 01423 876755.

cara.brown at centrex.pnn.police.uk

I also have a PDF copy of their policy, but it says 'restricted' on the top.
So I am a little concerned about passing it on without permission. Can I
suggest that you contact Cara Brown(above) You could also download the HE
SPLD group report from the net, and google scholar Sylvia Moody re adult
assessments and the workplace.

Hope this is helpful

Naomi Burgess, Chartered Educational Psychologist.
