Article: [senco-forum] dyslexia friendly help please!

Having been away I haven't had time to catch up on all the messages on this
thread.

Schools can apply to the BDA to be recognised as dyslexia friendly
and can work towards achieving a Quality Mark. More information here:
http://www.bdadyslexia.org.uk/qualitymark.html

Much of the early work in this area was done by Neil MacKay, a former SENCo
and senior teacher in Flintshire. He was the lead consultant on this for
BDA. Neil can be contacted at:

Action Dyslexia
Highlands,
Pen y Ball Hill,
Holywell,
Flintshire CH8 8SZ
Tel: 01352 715700
http://www.actiondyslexia.co.uk/
info at actiondyslexia.co.uk

(not to be confused with the rebranded Dyslexia Institute, who now call
themselves Dyslexia Action).

Neil has written a Dyslexia Friendly Schools Toolkit, but as I am his
publisher you will have to contact me off forum for details.

Yours
