My first response is the DDA - legal rather than scientific, surely a 'resasonable adjustment'. Richard -----Original Message----- From: senco-forum-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk [mailto:senco-forum-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk]On Behalf Of Chris Moyse Sent: 13 February 2007 16:45 To: senco-forum at lists.becta.org.uk Subject: [senco-forum] Reading aloud I hope someone can quickly and easily point me to an authoritative document which gives scientific reasons why we should not ask an adolescent boy with severe reading difficulties to read aloud in class. I know, I know why would anyone do that? I have given many reasons why this should not happen but need to be able to back up my reasons with 'scientific stuff'. If it could contain long complicated words which anyone would find it hard to read so much the better. Chris Moyse -- No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
