| Article: [senco-forum] BBC plan to prevent access to many disabled users | |
|
The BBC are planning to make their planned TV on demand / internet TV services only available to users of Microsoft Windows (XP or higher) computers. This will exclude the many, many disabled people who use more SEN friendly platforms such as the Apple Mac. There is a public consultation which I urge SENCo forum members to use to ask the BBC to make sure its services are available to everyone and not just to customers of The Microsoft Corporation. Please also forward this message to other forums and people concerned with equal access for all. The public consultation is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbctrust/consult/open-consultations/ondemand_services.html If the link is broken then it may need cutting an pasting into you browsers address bar. (Or on a Mac highlight it, right click and select 'go to address') Mark -- Mark Norwood www.avssc.org "How can one not be fond of something that the Daily Mail despises?"
