Okay, perhaps that is a little unfair. A gross stereotyping
and generalisation but also a very definite possibility.

There have been lots of excellent suggestions already.
However she needs to realise that this can be a very serious
condition and medical treatment shouldn't be ruled out
without very, very good reasons. The consequences could be
very severe.

If her child had cancer and the oncologist was recommending
medication would she be asking for non pharmaceutical
alternatives?
