Article: [SENco-forum] Re Reading research project

There may be a genetic predisposition to dyslexia, but, until such time as every single infant is screened at birth, who can tell how many children with this predisposition will go on to become full blown 'dyslexics'? For all we know, there could be millions of people 'out there' who were genetically predisposed, but are fully literate and exibit none of the traits popularly associated with dyslexia.

Has anybody here read this?:

'Developmental dyslxia in Adults: A research review

49 pages alone of citations of research literature. This is not a lightweight report.

Dyslexia is not created -it is already present at birth and likely before.
Acquired dyslexia comes after a stroke or other head injury, possible at
birth but less likely than later head trauma.
