[senco-forum] accessing the text

Have been concerned of late of the quantity of chn who will find great difficulty in accessing the weekly texts used in the literacy hour, especiaIlly noting a previous forum message that spoke of the KS2 SATS having reading age of 15.

Any tried and tested suggestions that I can share with colleagues as I try to address this issue across the primary age range. I spend considerable time helping chn access texts in the support groups that I work with and know how they take quite a while to get to grips with vocab and meaning.
