Article: [senco-forum] brain research and learning

"The Learning Brain" by Sarah-Jayne Blakemore and Uta Frith ISBN
1-4051-2401-6 presents a summary of the key scientific evidence in
psychology linking brain research and learning.

One area it discusses is the idea of left brained and right brained people:
"Whether left brain/right brain notions should influence the way people are
educated is questionable. Most neuroscientists question the validity of
categorising people in terms of their abilities as either a left-brain or
right-brain person. In terms of education, such categorisation might even
act as an impediment to learning." and "While it is true that one
hemisphere dominates over the other in terms of our experience of the world
and our actions, both sides of the brain work together in almost all
situations, tasks and processes."
