Hi, I use CTOPP for speed of processing for extra time, although mainly for SATs. You can also pick out of a choice of four sub tests - no need to do the whole battery. It should be possible to use it for GCSE (I can't think of a reason why not!) although generally speaking by the time students arrive at GCSE they already have a documented history of having extra time. I think you will find that Communicate-Ed do suggest it - they certainly did on the courses that I attended. I don't think there really is anything available to non-EPs. I have been on a number of Communicate-ed courses and the nearest they've come to this is to suggest using the picture naming and digit naming parts of the PHAB . I don't really like doing this as I think it's a bit 'thin' but I do use it to go along with another proved area of slowness e.g. writing speed or silent reading speed - to make a better case for extra time. I wouldn't feel that I could allow extra time solely based on this if all the other areas were within the 'average' range. I am still looking...
