Persevere - this programme will adapt to each voice. The secret is to correct errors straight away as soon as they are made - and even if they cannot read - the programme is so easy to turn off and on as you go and you can practise each phrase before reading it into the programme. We thought of trying Dragon software for a bright Y7 child who cannot read (yet - but we're working on it...). The biggest hurdles seem to be the 'training' passages, which have to be read - which he can't do, and a strong local accent. Is it worth persisting with? Any help/advice would be much appreciated. We have used dragon naturally speaking at school in the past but it is a few years old. Is there anything new out there that anybody knows anything about? Caroline Get the latest Dragon (9 I think).
