Hi Helen I have asked if cover supervisors could cover absent TAs to no avail. They are generally kept busy covering teaching staff and other departments use them for lesson prep or regular support. So generally absent TA = no support. Hi all, I've been reading all the posts about TA hours with great interest and glad to see am not the only one trying to juggle hours! I wondered how other people managed TA/LSA absence when they're off sick, do you try and cover? I've recently been trying to juggle TAs around to cover for absences, especially for the statemented pupils, but with no extra money available am finding it impossible. The trouble is teachers expect their TA to be covered and moan if they aren't! How do other people manage this problem?
