We have the same problem - I rationalise this by the fact that all (most) of
the pupils who loose out in KS3 will themselves benefit from readers/scribes
in KS4.  So it evens out.  the class teachers however just have to make do
without the extra pair of hands and eyes.

  And don't let me get started on what we do during exams when all of my TAs
need to be 1-1 as readers and scribes so there is no-one available in
lessons.
