Why do you get paid more just for standing in front of a class?!! The education world is bonkers... So I went to the Head and asked for my TA to have parity of pay - after all they do a lot more for the children than a cover supervisor. He agreed that if my TAs would act as cover supervisors in lessons where I had already timetabled them, then they could have H4 as well. They are acting as HLTAs in fact. That is actually quite good because my girls know the pupils, know the work, know the teachers and so instead of a wasted lesson with a cover supervisor who just doles out work, the pupils get a decent lesson. Actually the cover supervisors don't just hand out work - we have witnessed them 'teaching' and actually giving the pupils' wrong information !!!!!!!!!
