Nothing really relevant except that my cleaner succeeded in getting it for her son (£50 per week). I think it has to be applied for more than once on the basis that the child's need for care decreased as they get older. Try an ADHD site as they might give info on what boxes to tick on the no doubt huge and terrifying form. I always felt the need for this allowance to help out with my children (all 4 with dyslexia) and while this may not seem a significant SEN the organisational & social skills problems that go with it are above and beyond the normal requirements for parenting. £ 50 per week to pay said cleaner/babysitters (couldn't trust one of my own to look after the others - too much risk!) would have gone some way towards helping out. We had to put in a large and expensive extension to get an additional bedroom so that we could keep them apart and gain some peace at nights (eventually). Now I have 4 little pig pens to shovel out every week but at least they are not driving each other and myself insane with constant squeaking about who has done what to their belongings. All room doors had bolts set at 5ft to exclude the young and less malleable ones from ransacking in years gone by. In fact having just given a course for parents and children with learning difficulties the thing the mums liked most was the fact that I had (1.) survived and 2. seemed so together.
