[senco-forum] Unqualified teacher

There is the Registered Teacher Programme for teachers who don't yet have degrees. Here is the link to tell you about it. http://www.tda.gov.uk/Recruit/thetrainingprocess/typesofcourse/rtp.aspx 

According to the TDA website, 'Currently the four-year rule states that as long as an OTT (overseas trained teacher) is on a programme leading to the award of QTS they can be awarded QTS, even if they have been teaching in England for four years or more as an unqualified teacher. 
The DfES proposes to amend the regulations so that from August 2007 it will no longer be possible for OTTs without QTS to continue teaching after four years under any other circumstances.'

  No she doesn't have a degree so it would involve a lot of time to get QTS unless anyone knows about any sort of fast track?
