We have been using SLEUTH for a couple of years at our school to record the positive as well as the negative.  The pastoral team have found it useful for tracking what is happening with individual pupils.  It has also helped us in the Learning support dept to do the same and we can pick up on any problem areas and address them if necessary.  The admin person responsible for paperwork for detentions accesses it in order to put the wheels in motion.  It also gives written evidence which can be useful when parents think their little dear has done nothing wrong.

The main downside is finding time ito put in the information - especially positive.  We have 2 academic mentoring days for students a year at which targets are set with tutors and for some it is to have less negative SLEUTH entries!
