Article: [senco-forum] the most useful thing in the SEN room

Hello
The single most important thing in my SEN room is my TA Team. I apologise now for the word 'thing'!
Without them, pupils would not be able to access all of the other stuff - not even the tissues in some cases! I'm going to ask them what they think are the most useful things we already have (as in 'in case of fire I'd save') and what we still need.

The other thing I'd like more of is time. Hermione Granger's magic device would come in very handy.

After a difficult and somewhat tearful IEP review today I realised how
invaluable my box of tissues is. I've always bought tissues for my room and
always make sure I have a spare on hand. Sooo useful (do others have
tearful parents/pupils/TAs in reviews or is it just my excellent 'bedside
manner that reduces them to tears?).

I would put in order:

1) tissue box - for tearful reviews/TAs
2) paper recycling bin - as alternative main filing cabinet
3) stapler - to keep all the thousands of bits of paper together
4) staples that fit the stapler - to go in 4 above, (why does every stapler
take a differnet size staple?)
5) post it notes - as wallpaper (of all the jobs I need to do)

So in a top ten list, what is the most useful/indispensible thing in your
room?
