List what happens already. Categorise with retain ( what works really well) - improve (twiddly things - not expensive or time consuming) - change (the new broom effect) - you need to have a real idea of costs as well - and time - and to know what you want - and to see that it "fits" into the school development plan too. And each school seems to have it's own format for doing this as well. Bit simplistic - but that is the basic model for me. The head (New in post since last Sept') has asked me to address the following in my dept' planning: Raising Achievement Improving teaching and learning, target setting and reporting Improving assessment and the use of new technologies. This seems to be a development plan??? Is there any kind hearted SENCo out there willing to share a development plan?
