Hi Vivienne Are you saying that the last visit this pupil went on was one where behaviour was inappropriate? Also, I am very ambivilant about trips. There's the question of this pupil having access to the trip - of course they should. BUT what about the rest of the pupils who may be disadvantaged by that pupil's behaviour? And what if the extra adult takes up a seat on the coach which a pupil should have? I've got no solutions to this - just to say it is more complex than it looks. Amanda Secondary SENCO Cornwall "ip.o at virgin.net" <ip.o at virgin.net> wrote: I know about making 'reasonable adjustments' and risk assessments etc re school visits but I'm asking for views on this: Troubled Y4 lad with unpredictable behaviour (some days biddable and affectionate, others controlling, rebellious and manipulative) caused havoc on recent trip to local library. Class teacher now organising trip to museum in London - by coach, appx 26 mile round trip. The recent problem visit has been well documented. I've suggested taking an extra adult to be with him but the cost is a problem. I think, with regard to legislation, he should go but CT is naturally dubious. Opinions please . . .
