I would also like to know - Relatives out there for 2-3 years but may stay on for five - Baby just born in Australia - guess citizenship then and hence no pay?! Stuart -----Original Message----- From: senco-forum-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk [mailto:senco-forum-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk] On Behalf Of Peter Syme Sent: 15 March 2007 10:20 To: senco-forum Subject: [senco-forum] Australia ( not SEN) I have a friend whose husband has been offered a job in Australia for 2-3 years. They are seriously considering this ( Sydney I believe). This position is with the Australian office of the company he works for in UK. I don't know anything about the visa situation in Australia but this family have 3 primary age children and the wife says she has read somewhere that they will have to pay for state schooling as they will not be permanent residents. She has called me to ask if I know anyone who can confirm ...or otherwise. So, I thought of all you folk and wondered if anyone knows if this is the case. Thanks in advance Anne Syme |
